Pascal Schumacher (Luxembourg) + Berardi/Foran/Karlen (QLD)

  • Queensland Multicultural Centre 102 Main Street Kangaroo Point, QLD, 4169 Australia (map)

In a brand-new collaboration, award-winning trio Kristin Berardi (voice), Sean Foran (piano) and Rafael Karlen (saxophone) present a suite of new music with guest artist Pascal Schumacher. Occupying a place between European folk, modern jazz and 21st Century classical, this intensely intimate performance will combine Berardi's sublime melodic improvising, Foran's harmonic sensitivity, Karlen's rhythmic inventiveness and Schumacher’s flamboyant panache to explore new sonic territory.

Their performance at the Brisbane International Jazz Festival is the world premiere of this project, and comes before they step into the studio to record the material.
