The friendly singers jazz jam

Saturday 17th - 8.30pm to late | El Ritmo

Introducing the Friendly Singers Jazz Jam! The idea here is to create a community where vocalists and instrumentalists can connect, hang and play, with no pressure. Instrumentalists are more than welcome (and encouraged!) to come along, bring a horn, or sub in with the rhythm section. Whether you prepare a few tunes with friends, solo, chart or no chart- you belong here. Anything jazz or jazz adjacent is welcome! Kaite Chester will be opening up the session at 8pm, with jams starting from 8:30pm and going until late.

The Brisbane International Jazz Festival acknowledges the Turrbal and Jagera people as the Traditional Custodians of Meanjin, on which we have the privilege to make music. We recognise their long history of music making and continuing connection, to the land and waters.
