Steeped in the soul of the Crescent City, the Brunswick Street Parade brings the spirit of traditional New Orleans jazz to life. With a lineup of seasoned brass players, spirited rhythms, and infectious energy, the band delivers second-line grooves, street parade vibes, and heartfelt melodies that echo the legacy of New Orleans street music. Whether on stage or in the streets, their music celebrates joy, community, and the timeless power of live brass. Perfect for festivals, weddings, and street parades, Brunswick Street Parade keeps the tradition alive—one swinging tune at a time.

Blending straight-ahead jazz with a taste for hot jazz, Melody Graves is a unique voice in Meanjin’s jazz scene, with a style that is both fresh and familiar – and if you closed your eyes, you just might think you were listening to an old gramophone record. Inspired by the sounds of New Orleans, small combos and big band swing, Melody Graves is backed by some of Brisbane’s most talented jazz musicians who deliver a hot and vibrant take on early jazz and blues, fusing traditional sounds with a fresh, dynamic energy.

Alyssa Sinclair is a young upcoming jazz Trumpet player/Vocalist based in Brisbane. She is firstly a trumpet player, but in recent years has discovered for love for singing, and combining the two in her performances. Alyssa is currently in her final semester at the Jazz Music Institute and performs regularly in Brisbane across many genres, and semi regularly tours to Sydney/Melbourne with TYDE BAND. Alyssa is also part of originals Hard Bop group Maeva’s Journal, Unladylike Big Band, JMI Jazz Orchestra, and her own new 7-piece project Sinclair’s Swingin’ Smorgasbord. Alyssa LOVES a smorgasbord of music, which is shown through her fun variety filled performances, and is inspired by Lee Morgan, Chet Baker and Louis Armstrong | Caity Gyorgy, Veronica Swift and Ella Fitzgerald.

The Good Bait trio is a long-standing collaboration between three of Brisbane’s most versatile jazz instrumentalists. The arrangements and compositions draw on their wide-ranging musical experiences. The three have developed a deep synergy over so many years of playing together, and love to share with an audience their enjoyment of playing music together.
