The Brisbane International Jazz festival in partnership with Jazz Music Institute are giving guitarists the opportunity to engage with festival artist James Sherlock.
One of the most highly-respected guitarists in Australia today, James Sherlock began playing classical guitar at age 7. He attended the Queensland Conservatorium of Music studying classical guitar and graduated in 1992. James is currently a sessional staff member at the University of Melbourne, Monash University and the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School. He takes ensemble studies, and one-on-one guitar tuition specialising in improvisation.
This jazz guitar workshop will be held at JMI Live on Friday 1st June 2018 from 10am – 12pm.
